What do you think?

Stately but not my cup of tea

never seen one before, it looks like a Rolls from the 80's, that's for sure. I think I'd rather have a Bentley Turbo R though

I'm more a Corniche man, but no hate for it. A bit ugly for a Roller in the traditional sense, but you buy a Rolls to look like a Rolls more than necessarily look good, and it has the Rolls Look in spades, boxy awkwardness notwithstanding.
Corniiiiiiiiche....

How does it feel to be so wrong about something?

this is the "cult car" rolls. In 5 years time, these will start getting EXPENSIVE.

Can it haz locking rear diff and supercharger?

I actually kinda like the Camargue. It has a unique look to it.

Noo, not color coded bumpers.

That thing looks awesome. I'm 100% correct.
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:41 |

Looks like a generic old car (Ford?) with a Rolls grill.
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:41 |

Fair enough.
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:42 |

I read your title backwards. I feel immense shame.

Widen the stance a bit, and it wouldn't be bad.

I love it. Big, ostentatious, baller as fuck. Why not?
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:44 |

Aren't they expensive already?
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:44 |

Finally, these are awesome cars.
![]() 09/22/2014 at 16:50 |

And the most expensive car of its day.

A Rolls doesn't have to be a good looking car, it has to be imposing and send a message to the proles. The Camargue has that in spades and has a real presence in person. It's not the obvious choice in vintage rollers but a remarkable choice for its unique style, low production, and opulent interior. Thanks for reminding me of this unique beast!

I like the Carmargue. Yes, its proportions are a bit odd, but there is something so enticing about a rare, impractical two-door RR!

Camargues are odd for sure, but they have an odd appeal. The wheels would need to go into storage. They make the car look even more dated. In its day, I believe it was the most expensive RR coupe available.

I recall a review that said you needed an oil well to run it, but that most owners would have a few so no problem. This might be the worst-looking Rolls ever, but perhaps there is something worse.
![]() 09/22/2014 at 19:22 |

Well you Camargue with that.

I like the car in general, but I've always thought it was kind of a butter face. The one-off Bentley version looks a bit better from the front, but that grille is still just garishly oversized. The rest of the body is handled quite well.
